$100,000 PLUS DISTRIBUTED TO BENEFICIARIES OF 2018 MARCUM WORKPLACE CHALLENGE

2018 was another successful year for the Marcum Workplace Challenge.  Among other things, the event raised $100,000 for four charitable beneficiaries, which received the contributions at a ceremony held on Giving Tuesday, November 27, 2018. The beneficiaries received an additional $17, 245.54 from the Beneficiary Fund Challenge, which enables teams to make voluntary contributions to the beneficiaries beyond their event registration fees.

The emphasis was once again very much on local charities: Long Island Cares - the Harry Chapin Food Bank, Long Island Children’s Museum, Children’s Medical Fund of New York, and the Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.  In addition, a donation was presented to the National Heritage Trust administered by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation.

Over the 13 years that the event has taken place, more than $900,000 has been proudly donated to local charities, and our goal is to break the $1 Million mark in 2019!!!!.

The Marcum Workplace Challenge is presented by Marcum, LLP and the Marcum Foundation, and produced by the Greater long Island Running Club.  The 3.5 mile run-walk for charity is also Long Island’s largest office picnic, held annually at Jones Beach State Park.

Start planning now for the milestone 14th annual Marcum Workplace Challenge in July of 2019.
